The FSB exists to protect and promote the interests of the self-employed and all those who run their own business. The FSB is non-party political, and with around 200,000 members, it is also the largest organisation representing the UK’s 5.2 million small businesses.They maintain a strict policy of political neutrality – always letting issues affecting their members set the agenda.
The FSB have made real progress and breakthroughs on key issues facing members such as late payments and business rates and have seen a significant increase in their profile. Their increased dealings with politicians, civil servants and the media has played a large part in increasing their credibility and influence positioning them as the most effective business lobbying group in the country, ensuring the small business community is heard.
