Neil Cook

Neil has a business background having trained in the legal department of a LSE listed company. He then worked in the City for an entrepreneurial company which specialised in buying and selling companies.

This led to a business trip to New York to oversee a takeover turning into a seven year residence and re-qualification as an attorney in the State of New York where he was employed as General Counsel for a New York Stock Exchange listed company.

After taking some time off from the law to own and operate a Care Home Neil joined Ellis Jones in October 2013 as a Senior Solicitor and became Head of the Business Services department in September 2015. Neil’s recent work at Ellis Jones includes; a multi-million pound management buy-out of a civil engineering company, numerous complex company share reconstructions and share buy-backs, employee/director incentive schemes and sale and purchases of business.
