He has a background in law, financial services and insurance and developing innovative new products to provide solutions to problems affecting businesses and directors. He is legally qualified as an advocate.

A visiting Professor at London Guildhall Faculty of Business and Law, he is the author of 14 books on financial planning, including Business Protection Simplified and Succession Planning Simplified, and writes regularly for Tax Insider.

He is a member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and a Freeman of the City of London.
